Brief

turns transparent as the camera crosses it, revealing the interior: water drawn from
the tank, a pump feeding a heated boiler, hot water forced down through the group head
into the portafilter, and dark espresso streaming into a small cup below. Faint steam
at the wand. Cool neutral lighting with warm highlights on the brass fittings, clean
technical look. Technical explainer, photorealistic, steady measured pace,
mechanically plausible, no people, no hands, no text, no brand logos.

Notes

The constraint this removes

A machine builder sells a process the customer never sees. Footage from the factory floor shows a grey housing and blinking LEDs. A 3D animation from a specialist studio is several weeks and a budget that ends the conversation on smaller campaigns.

Why an espresso machine

It is a demonstration of the technique, not a pitch to the coffee trade. The choice is deliberate: everyone knows what happens inside one, so accuracy can be judged by eye. A generated packaging line with a nonsensical sealing mechanism would tell an engineer something very different — within the first second.

For a real machine, the starting point is the engineering documentation, not the model’s guess.

Note on accuracy

Work for a real client goes through the client’s own engineer. An explainer showing a mechanism that behaves differently from the real one is worse than no explainer at all: with a technical audience it costs the credibility of the whole offer.

For the same reason there are no pressure and temperature overlays here. The model will happily generate them, and it writes physically impossible values — the first thing an engineer notices.
